2–3 October 2027
Long Tide, CNS, Notochord and the Midline
From the embryonic centre to the wider field of life
A two-day craniosacral biodynamics seminar with Jakub Jekl and Martin Tužinský.
About the seminar
From the earliest moments of our embryonic development, the inner organisation of the body begins to take shape. Structures, axes and relationships emerge, gradually becoming the foundation of our bodily organisation.
In craniosacral biodynamics, we explore these developmental processes not only through anatomy and embryology, but also through our own bodily experience and gentle listening.
During this weekend, we will explore the Long Tide, the midline, the notochord and the central nervous system.
Within the biodynamic approach, the Long Tide is described as a broader and slower expression of the organising forces of life. We will explore how the quality of our presence and touch changes when we expand our attention beyond individual structures and open to perceiving a wider field.
Embryology will offer us a map of the emergence of the notochord, neural tube and midline. Through experience, we will discover qualities of centre, space, stability and movement associated with these principles.
What we will explore
- The Long Tide and the wider field of biodynamic perception.
- Qualities of presence, space and slower tidal processes.
- The embryological emergence of the notochord and midline.
- The development of the central nervous system and its biodynamic relationships.
- The midline as a principle of orientation and organisation.
- Listening to the relationship between centre, wholeness and the wider field.
- Integrating experience into therapeutic contact.
How we will work
The seminar will be based primarily on direct exploration and personal experience.
Anatomical and embryological relationships will provide orientation for meditation, gentle touch and work in pairs.
We will cultivate open, receptive attention, the ability to rest in not knowing and to follow what actually emerges in each encounter.
Who the seminar is for
For students and practitioners of craniosacral therapy who wish to deepen their perception of broader biodynamic processes and discover connections between embryological development, the midline and the experience of wholeness.
The seminar builds on our previous gatherings and further develops the art of presence and listening.
