Fluid Tide, Membranes and Ventricles
The living movement of the fluid body

A biodynamic seminar with Jakub Jekl and Martin Tužinský – a weekend of gentle touch and listening to deepen your perception of the fluid body.
About the seminar
Why do we explore the Fluid Tide and its qualities? The interconnectedness of our body as a living system is most readily perceived at the level of fluids. In craniosacral biodynamics, we call this level the fluid body and explore a subtle movement within it, resembling the ebb and flow of the tide, which we call the Fluid Tide.
Through gentle touch, conscious presence and practical exercises, we will develop our ability to listen to the fluid body and observe changes in the client’s body. We will notice how fluid movement meets the shape and flexibility of internal structures. We will also explore how the intention of the inner process expresses itself as it meets tensions and other remnants of life history in the body and brings change to them.
We will also become familiar with the membranes and ventricular system of the brain, their role within the whole and the therapeutic approaches associated with them. We will strengthen our ability to perceive individual parts in relation to one another and discover how this approach can enrich your contact with the client.
How we will work
The seminar focuses on developing experience that you can draw on in therapeutic practice. Brief theoretical and anatomical introductions will provide a map for orientation. We will then explore this map further through work in pairs and shared reflection. Throughout all activities, we will deepen presence, sensitivity and the ability to cooperate with the body’s natural processes.
What you will take away
- The ability to distinguish qualities of the fluid body and movements at the level of fluids, including the Fluid Tide
- Orientation within the membrane system and its relationships with other structures of the body
- Understanding of the brain ventricles and cerebrospinal fluid in a biodynamic context
- Practical experience of therapeutic approaches at the level of the fluid body
- Ways to integrate the experience gained into everyday craniosacral practice
Who the seminar is for
For students and practitioners of craniosacral therapy who wish to develop their perception and deepen their experience of the biodynamic approach.
The seminar builds thematically on our previous gatherings on safe contact and listening to inner health.
